Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala made an inappropriate remark directed at actor-turned-politician Hema Malini. Following which, many celebrities from the film industry came forward in support of the veteran actress.
Speaking to ETimes about the issue, actress Khushboo remarked, “I believe these men have lost their understanding, driven by a fear of being surpassed by women.Their inability to accept successful, strong women leads them to speak derogatorily.”

Elaborating further, she added, “It’s not just about Hema ji alone. Overall, when you consider instances like Supriya Shrinate’s comments about Kangana Ranaut, or the remarks made by the DMK about me, and how others have spoken about women in the past, it seems they forget their origins. They forget they were born to a woman, raised by a woman, and are surrounded by women. They seem unable to accept that women can be successful. It’s a powerful phenomenon, and she’s making waves globally. Unfortunately, their basic misogynistic mindset prevents them from appreciating women.”

“Hema ji is one of the most respectable women I’ve ever encountered, and I hold her in the highest regard. Such comments are completely unacceptable. Randeep Surjewala should publicly apologize for making this statement on a public platform. He should take responsibility and apologize to her publicly as a man,” she concluded.
